Fall Inspired Newborn Photos

Fall is basically here, and so is your baby! Before you know it you will be cradling the most perfect bundle, but until then you want to start planning your newborn session. Having a baby in fall has so many perks! You aren’t trapped inside the house because extreme heat or cold, and can we mention matching sweaters! But the best perk of all are fall inspired newborn photos! Newborn photos in the fall are cozy, warm and beyond darling!

Pumpkins

What is fall without a couple of pumpkins?! Pumpkins are the go-to prop for fall inspired newborn photos, and for good reason! You can use them in place of, or addition to, florals to brighten up and give more life to your newborn session. They are a classic piece that can be used in nontraditional ways. I especially like using nontraditional colors with my pumpkins, like silver, to add more interest and depth to newborn photos. Pumpkins are the perfect way to add a touch of fall to your newborn images!

Rust

Rust orange is a fall color that has been trending for the last few years, and let’s face it, we all love it! It is a warm, modern and totally timeless shade of orange that looks amazing in newborn photos. And the ways to incorporate this gorgeous shade of orange are endless! Add blankets, bonnets, foliage, pillows, headbands, bows, and so many more rust colored items! You will look back at your fall inspired newborn images for years to come and still be completely in love with your color choice.

Teddy Bear

Is there anything cuter than your little babe “hibernating” for winter in a bear bonnet?! These crocheted bear bonnets are probably one of my favorite accessories for fall inspired newborn photos! They are absolutely darling, so soft and really bring a whimsical feel to your newborn session. They also pair well with any color that you want to incorporate into your session! So weather you are wanting your little girl decked out in pink, or for your little boy to keep a neutral color scheme, the bear bonnet is going to work beautifully.

Neutrals

You will never regret going with a neutral color scheme! Neutral colors give your fall inspired newborn photos a classic and elegant feel. No matter where you hang them in your home, office or nursery, they will fit in perfectly with all decor! If you are wanting more of a fall vibe with your neutrals, then try to choose hues that have warmer undertones. These colors are closer to beige or cream than to a grey.
