This one is for all my fellow business owners, and photographers out there. If you aren’t blogging, you need to start like yesterday. Don’t stress if you haven’t started a blog yet, but because of the time I’ve put into blogging I’ve seen some huge growth in my business. Here are my four reasons why blogging is a gamechanger for your business.

  • Increase your ranking on Google (SEO) - blogging is huge for increasing your ranking on Google and is a great way to work on SEO without doing all the not so fun backend work of your business. As business owners we wear lots of hats and sometimes, those hats aren’t fun. Blogging is a fun way to boost SEO!

  • Show off your pretty pictures! - Not only are blogs a great place to tell a story but you get to show off more of your hard work. Think of your blog as another portfolio page! As photographers we take lots of pictures, and want to share them, use your blog to do that! This is a great way to organically show off your work!

  • Give your potential clients a chance to see what you’re all about - If a client were to come to my website and browse my blog they would see I work with newborns and their families, seniors, maternity, and provide tips to make sessions run smoothly. Which in turn, builds my credibility and shows them what I can do!

  • Pinterest LOVES blogs - Blogs tend to perform better on Pinterest than just images. Take the time to write a blog that shows off your work and serves your clients and it’s going to be huge online. Provide quality content!
